Maytag ties it to a build-up from detergent, fabric softener and everyday use, and recommends running the Clean Washer cycle about once a month with the correct amount of HE detergent to keep the light from coming back quickly. ### How do I know which dish care system filter style my Maytag has? Look at the bottom of the tub: one style rinses in place under running water, the other has a center tab you depress to lift a cup straight out.
