Press OK to start. ### Can I clear Replace water filter. Press OK to start myself? Press OK to begin the change, or choose later. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Does every Bertazzoni espresso unit use a softener cartridge? No, the manual lists it for certain models only, so a unit without one should keep the filter setting turned off. ### What happens if this reminder is ignored? The spent cartridge stops softening the water, which can bring on the descale reminder sooner than usual, though brewing itself continues. ### Can the cartridge simply be removed instead of replaced? Yes, the manual covers removing it and switching the setting off, after which the descale program handles scale prevention alone. --- **[Read on the site: Bertazzoni built-in espresso unit: replace water filter](https://appliancemaintenance.center/error-codes/bertazzoni-coffee-replace-water-filter/)** **[Book a visit with ApplianceMaintenance.center](https://appliancemaintenance.center/schedule/)**
