Appliance maintenance in The Woodlands.
Houses in The Woodlands sit among preserved pine forest, where pollen coats every outdoor surface yellow each spring and needles gather in dryer outlets, so condenser coils and exhaust hoods there are cleaned once the pollen season is over.

What The Woodlands does
to a home appliance.
The Woodlands began in 1974 when oil investor George P. Mitchell modeled the planned community on Columbia, Maryland and Reston, Virginia, working with landscape architect Ian McHarg's design principles.
The community was built to keep its forest cover intact, with much of the tree canopy preserved for shade rather than cleared for construction.
Population grew from 8,443 residents in 1980 to 29,205 by 1990, then to 55,649 by 2000 as corporate relocations accelerated, reaching 114,436 by the 2020 census.
All of HoustonNewer developments
Newer planned communities often fit the same builder appliances in every house, so they reach the same wear points at about the same time, and a maintenance visit there knows which filters, hoses and seals come due first on that set.
Family houses
Children, pets and sports gear load a family's appliances with hair, grass and mud, which reach refrigerator coils and washer drain filters first, and those are cleaned on each visit.
Homes that host
Pool towels and beach gear fill the laundry in summer, bringing chlorine, sand and sunscreen into the washer, so its drain filter and drum seal get extra cleaning in homes that host around the water.

When a home appliance
cannot wait in The Woodlands.
In The Woodlands as anywhere, these five signs mean upkeep has waited too long and a hazard has started in the home, so the appliance stays off until it is looked at: a hot or burning-lint smell from the laundry, a gas smell at a cooking appliance, a supply hose leaking or bulging, a burning electrical smell, and a breaker that trips when the appliance runs.
