What Montgomery County does
to a home appliance.
Where home appliances sit in Montgomery County: newer developments, family houses, homes that host.
All of HoustonNewer developments
Builder installs sometimes take the shortest route for a dryer exhaust or use a plastic transition hose, and the first maintenance visit in a new house checks that path and swaps anything flimsy for rigid metal.
Family houses
A family keeps up with its appliances more easily when one visit covers them all, and a written list of filter dates, hose ages and small notes helps the household between visits.
Homes that host
Homes that entertain run every appliance at once on a party night, ovens, burners, the ice maker and the dishwasher, and a maintenance visit before the busy season makes sure filters, burners and seals are ready for the load.

The Woodlands
Houses in The Woodlands sit among preserved pine forest, where pollen coats every outdoor surface yellow each spring and needles gather in dryer outlets, so condenser coils and exhaust hoods there are cleaned once the pollen season is over.
Conroe
Conroe was founded around an 1881 sawmill and later boomed after George W. Strake struck oil there in 1931, and its Crighton Theatre, opened in 1935, still anchors the historic downtown that grew up during that boom.
Magnolia
Magnolia's original townsite, once called Mink Prairie, moved to meet a new rail line in 1902 and took its current name in 1903, and its population is projected to more than triple between the 2020 census and 2025 as Houston's suburbs reach it.
Montgomery
Montgomery was founded in July 1837 and became the first county seat of Montgomery County that same year, and its Fernland Historical Park, opened in 2012, now preserves some of the oldest buildings in this part of Texas near Lake Conroe.
Shenandoah
Shenandoah is a small incorporated city in Montgomery County bordering The Woodlands, built out on a smaller, more compact footprint than its larger master-planned neighbor.
