A filter has reached the end of its life or is clogged enough for the appliance to notice: a refrigerator water cartridge past its gallons or months, a hood's grease or charcoal filter loaded with residue, a dish-care filter packed with food, a washer inlet filter choked with grit. Turn off both the lights and the blower.
Remove the grease filters, wash them, and let them dry fully before refitting.
Hold T3 for about three seconds until S1 flashes three times to confirm the reset.
Book a visit if S1 comes back on immediately after the reset.

What not to do
A steady S1 is a timed cleaning reminder, not a sign the blower is failing. A flashing S1, by contrast, refers to the charcoal filter rather than the grease filters.
